JCLL receives most of its funding from individual supporters and foundations. Seed funding was provided by the Jewish Continuity Commission of UJA-Federation of New York. "From Home to Home: Jewish Immigration to America" was made possible through a generous grant from the Ricky and Andrew J. Shechtel Philanthropic Fund in memory of Norma Kligman. A generous grant was also provided by the Leo and Julia Forchheimer Foundation.
